Dr. Shaijumon C S is an accomplished economist and academic, currently serving as Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Humanities at the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Trivandrum. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Kerala and has been a Fulbright and Freeman Scholar in the U.S. With deep expertise spanning space economics, technology diffusion, macroeconomic development, and interdisciplinary research, Shaijumon has led numerous funded projects—including studies on space technology's socio-economic impacts and telemedicine in remote India (iist.ac.in).
