About the Event

This workshop is a demonstration of methods typically used in economics research. It is to encourage people who have never used R to use it in their workflow. For those who have some experience in R, this talk will help them scale up their productivity. It will also cover examples of data cleaning with some real example dataset, regression, unit root tests, plotting and reporting.

Example of Messy RBI data - Cleaning and quarterly aggregation

Regressions - Some intro and examples

Plotting in R

Regression tables - Standard error adjustments

Examples of using these techniques for cleaning CMIE data and Energy Data (If time permits)

About the Speaker

PhD. Scholar in Economics, IIT Kharagpur

Nithin M is an economist with a keen focus on macroeconomic analysis, data-driven research, and computational tools for public policy. Currently serving as a Research Assistant at the State Planning Board, Government of Kerala, he brings together rigorous economic thinking with practical insights to support evidence-based planning.
